GroupJive and Community Builder - Looking Toward the Future

We are proud to announce that Joomlapolis is now taking over the development of GroupJive.

Many of you have been asking and wondering about the future of GroupJive. During the past few months, GroupJive users have seen development take off twice, only to stall again afterward. Although the Team Members had every intention of following things through till the end, priorities and circumstances inevitably changed.

None of us wants to see GroupJive die. Too much time and care has went into making it into the first Joomla extension of its kind. The Founder, Joshua Holmes, the current Developer, Michael Perthel and all the various Team Members have put many man-hours into making GroupJive better, but we've again come to a crossroads.

For the last couple months, it has become evident that, in order for GroupJive to live on and grow with the demands of its users, we needed to find a solid and reliable entity willing to take GroupJive to the next level.

We've been excited and anxious to release this news but wanted to wait until the details had been finalized. The newest version of GroupJive relied on CB's new API for integration and plugin support. Recently, CB and CBSubs has relied more and more on the functions of GroupJive for group creation and access control. It only seemed natural that CB and GroupJive stay together.

We are proud to announce that Joomlapolis is now taking over the development of GroupJive. The GroupJive Team has every confidence that this is the best choice for the future development of GroupJive and its integrations. More news will follow in the next few weeks, but we're sure you are already looking forward to some exciting times ahead!
