Everytime I try to install groupjive I am getting an already installed error or my screen goes blank, where I have to do a refresh which lead me back to the install error... Can anyone tell me how to fix this install error?

Ok, discovered I needed to add my php.ini file to joomla...

But I need to know is 29a an upgrade? After installing I am getting the following error for upgrade and not as a new install!

Check if "unique_key" exists TODO check this --- Index "unique_key" not found


and I do not have any duplicate statements. I ran the statement "SQL 2" just to see if I did have a duplicate "unique_key(s)". During install it is not writing the "unique_key(s)"... So how can I fix this error?

Groupjive checks, if there are tables from a previous version and tries to update them (if necessary)

The "unique_key" problem is known.. The script wants to check if this key exists or not - if not it tries to create the key. You can read the unique key readme in the backend of GJ.

I don't understand why you had to add the php.ini file to Joomla. Anyway, if you want to upgrade a component, you must uninstall it first and install it again.

For whatever reason, I am still getting the error! And rewrite is on, but there just something not right on the order in which this component works... is there a plugin, or component that prevents Groupjive from loading or installing?


Rocktheme, refused to place install it on the 1.5.8 theme, because they said their was problems running on joomla 1.5. And the same theme that you use and the template package they refused to install it in...

Is there a basic format one should is when trying to install groupjive? meaning should it be the first component installed when doing a clear install or do you have to disable a certain plugin or component?

Is there any issues with SEO? Should it be disable before installing? Just trying to narrow down the if's! Is it possible to get ver. 1.6 in order to see if that will work for me?
