Hello and thank you for this great comp.
My problem is users cannot create their own group although i enabled this action from back end.
The only thing i can do is to create groups from back end and users can join to them.
This is an important functionality that i was looking for to complete my C.Builder joomla site
Please Help!

More details please. This question is quite vague. You'd get much better response if you provided some info such as the versions you are using and any errors or other factors that might help.
I assume that you have created a Category Overview menu item, if so, does that bring up the work to bring up the Overview page? On this page, is the Create you OWN group link visible? what happens when this is clicked?

so users can only create groups right? categories must be done from back end
also your logo on the bottom of the groups page cannot be hidden, also this is a choice from admin.

You are correct, Categories are created in the backend and cant be changed by reg users.

Also about the link to GJ on the bottom of the page cannot be hidden? it gives you that option from back end but never does anything?

Hi,

You are talking about the copyright notice, right? That is hard coded in groupjive.php. I think I read in the code someplace about getting permission to remove it by 'donation' but I can't be sure. I will have a look later. I think it is OK to leave this in, considering what we pay for the code
