I need to delete the below mentioned completely, i can do it by editing the language>>english but the problem occurs when i need to delete the bulletins and the ":" sign

these items are hard coded into the component... Are you sure you'd like to remove them? If you do, they will not show up in any of the group pages...

If you need to remove this stuff take a look at the function group_info()

It would be nice if more of this stuff was handled at the Template level, right?

This is found in the groupjive_func.inc file starting on L140.

There are about three edits that need to be done. For simplicity I have attached the hacked file here. I documented all changes I made. Remember, Although I tested this quickly just to see if it did what you asked, I didn't do any serious testing or checking to see if the edits will affect anything elsewhere... so no guarantees, mkay?

Also remember that anytime you upgrade you will lose the changes.
rename the file to groupjive_func.inc and overwrite the original (after backing it up, natch)
