Is there a way to avoid the picture and text overlapping as you see on the attached file?

I think your only solution with existing templates is to limit the size of the Group logos to something much smaller than what you are using in the example you show.... A width of less than 300 px would be a good place to start with the default templates. This is set on the Images tab in the GJ backend... You may be able to play with the CSS file if you need to keep the large pix. I think it is the groupinfo class you would be interested in, but Im not sure right at the moment. I am working on a whole set of templates which will provide more options. it is a long process but I am getting close.

I disagree, I think this is a /float/ issue.

In IE7, the over lapping does not occur.

It does occur in FF

This is similar to a list overlap error which occurs in CB lists, which was fixed by finding a float tag and noting it out.

I'd guess this is same.

In FF :

In IE :

pmcnamara, you are most likely correct. Although my reply was not very detailed, I was trying to imply the same thing. A trip around the CSS file would be likely to provide a solution. Removing the Float from the groupinfo class may do it... it all depends what the OP wants for layout, does he want the info to the right of the image (as it seems in the example) or does he want it to move down below the image. The default template does work best with no mods with smaller pix.
There are a few of us working on new template designs... as they become avaliable we all will have more options..

have fun...
