Not sure if this is a bug or just unfinished. In the back end we have a large text box to fill in the description in the category section, BUT where is no where in the front end that this is shown! I cannot find a "hide/show" category description and I can see not reason to fill it in if it will never show, is this a bug or unfinished functionality? or am I just missing something? Many thanks

Hi Liz...

I`m afraid you might be missing something

The Group Description, as set in the back-end is the description that [b]should be[/b]] shown on the Group Details page in the front-end, right where it says About Group (or some variation). There is no configuration (show/hide) other than filling it in or leaving it blank. Perhaps the template you are using does not show this? What template are you using?

darklizard is talking about the category description not the group description. I was wondering the same thing. When you create a new category in the back-end there is a place that says "Category Description:" and you can type in whatever you want but it does not show up anywhere in the front-end.

That is exactly right Everette, I still haven't found anywhere the category description appears in the front end...

Right now, I'm still testing CBSubs, which is still having an issue with GroupJive, so I can't reply. As soon as I rid myself of the fatal error and can see what you're referring to, I'll see if we can figure this one out. I'm subscribed.
