Most of you, Joomla lovers, might aware of the fact that Fireboard Forum's Developers are now gone. The project is abandoned.

Fireboard 1.0.x is still in ALPHA stage with hell lot of BUGs and its actually for Joomla 1.0.x platform and Joomla 1.x (LEGACY)
Fireboard 2.0, which is meant for Joomla 1.x (NATIVE) is just a MYTH.



I have decided to take over the project.
It will be based on Freboard and will start from FB1.0.5RC2.
But this time, We will be using Community Builder's API so that the Forum system is Joomla Independent. That is both Joomla 1.0.x (NATIVE) as well as Joomla 1.x (NATIVE)

Do you state this as Fact? Where can I read a statement (other than on your site) that confirms that FB is dead?

Does this mean that PB is an official Fork? It seems interesting to me that your NEW forum will be built on the CB API (as opposed to J1.5 API) partly to ensure that it is Backwards compatible with J1.0... which has its END OF LIFE just around the corner!

You say that it will be "Joomla Independent" but I`m not sure that is really true. It won`t be stand alone, right? I mean CB is J! Dependent, so I would assume that anything built on its API is as well I suppose that most of us here are CB users, and at first this would seem to mean great things for us... I don`t fully understand your choice, but then I am Not a developer... I wish you luck and I`ll watch how it plays out.
