Hi,

Very interesting !
I'm trying to create a website based on :

Joomla 1.0.13
Community builder
Groupejive
and Joomfish

The problem is that groupejive doesn't seem to work with my joomfish installation (I uploaded the necessary xml files).
In fact, translation is perfectly possible (that's a good thing !), but when groups are created, it is absolutly not possible to accede to them from front end (a message explains that the group doesn't exist or is pending approval). In the back end every thing looks alright.
Could you explain how you've done so that joomfish works with groupjive in the same installation ?
My website is an european project and multilingual support is absolutly fundamental.

Thanking you in advance for your help,

PS : sorry for my english, I'm french.

Wow... Unbelievable ! I spent my hole day trying to make groupjive working with Joomfish as You've done on your website ! Nothing to do!
When uninstalling joomfish, access to groups created with groupejive is possible. When reinstalling joomfish, groupejive doesn't work anymore...
But how did you do ? Realy, I'm ready to venerate you as a God if you explain me

Hoping to read you soon,

thanks bour02

you are not alone

my boss think that our customers venerate me as a half-God and as i now only my wife venerate me as a God (but sexual details we should not discuss here)

Ok,
its realy simple:

Joomfish is installed but i have not installed a xml file for GJ support.

i only have installed the second language (german) to joomla and switch the frontpage language by joomfish.

so the related GJ language file is activated.

If you take a closer look, you will see that only the GJ main fields are changing and not the group description by it self (as example).

I waiting for the stable version and the joomfish support by the GJ developer team to integrate this function.

You see it could be easy to become a God (beside sexuality - this will need full activity )

Thank you very much kurtsteiner for your answer and your excellent sens of humour ! Hard to stay serious after such an answer lol

In fact, it is realy strange :

Finaly considering what you took time to explain, if :
- I install joomfish
- I install additional languages to joomla
- I don't install special xml files for Gj support
- I switch languages from the frontend module of joomfish

It should work (even if categories, descriptions and groups are not translated) : groups should be visible.
On my website, considering these parameters are ok, I can't access to groups I created !..

I'm wondering If it is a question of versions (I use Joomfish 1.8 rc and Gj 1.6 bĂȘta 3).

I would like to show you (my website is www.euro-friends.com), but gj functions can only be seen by backend managers until I solve the problem.

Thanks a lot for your help !
